BEST GOLF COURSES CANCUN – PUERTO CANCUN

Coming in at #5 is our favourite golf course in the Cancun destination, and also the newest, Puerto Cancun.  Designed by Tom Weiskopf, this 7,241 yard course is the longest in Cancun, is well maintained and has fantastic views.  Golfers will be happy to know the clubhouse is now completed and features a great restaurant. We played and ate here just last week.

Located at the north end of the Hotel Zone (km 2), the front nine winds through a number new high rise condo projects, but still offers plenty of room for your tee shots.  The back nine features the memorable 13th and 14th holes.  Hole 13 is one of the more difficult par 3's you will ever play.  240 yards, uphill and into the breeze.  On most days you will be thinking of hitting driver. Once you get to the green, take a look around. You'll have the beautiful blue Mexican Caribbean surrounding you and you have views of Cancun and Isla Mujeres in the distance.  Par is a fantastic score here.

The 14th is a drivable par 4 that gives you a chance to make up a stroke...or two. Even if you decide not to hit driver, a wide landing area gives you a great chance to hit it close on your second shot.

From Cancun International Airport take the main exit road and follow the signs to the Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera). This road becomes Kulkulcan Boulevard. Proceed straight until kilometer marker 2.
